I’m a regular cyclist and have been for over forty years. I’ve been working on bikes for much of that time and professionally for over 5 years as a trained mechanic. I can tackle most aspects of bike service and repair from adjustments and changing tyres to a full strip and rebuild of pretty much any bike type. I can collect your bike from you and return it with any work complete, for a small charge, or do many jobs and services on site.

Service + maintenance = smooth ride

Taking care of your bike is the best way to make it last. Not only will it work better but it’ll feel better to ride. Keeping your bike clean and running well will protect components, saving money long term as you need to replace less often. As well as that, a well maintained bike is a safe bike.

I can assess your bike and let you know what, if any, work needs doing from adjustments and safety checks to replacing parts and upgrades. If nothing needs doing then that’s what I’ll do! I’ll never tell you something you don’t need and any work offered or advised is always your choice.

Parts for most bikes are available to order or you’re welcome to supply your own.

Full Pricelist

Services at levels to suit all riders and budgets. Collect and return available, many jobs can be done at your home or work or drop your bike with me if you prefer.

Basic £30

Safety check, bike assessed for any issues, gears adjusted, brakes adjusted, everything tightened and torqued, hubs adjusted, tyres and suspension to correct pressure.

Intermediate £60

Same as Basic plus call out charge included (up to 5 miles), brake and gear service (including new inner cables or brake bleed), wheels trued.

The Works £100

Everything from Intermediate plus collect + return included and full strip and rebuild. Your complete bike will be stripped down, cleaned, lubed and reassembled to run as well as it can.

Gears £15

Cables replaced, derailleurs adjusted for optimum function.

Brakes Cable £15/Hydro £25

Cables replaced or brakes bled if hydraulic, pads/blocks/rotors checked for wear and correctly aligned, callipers and levers adjusted for correct function.

Drivetrain £30

Chain, cassette/freewheel, derailleurs, cranks, pedals and bottom bracket all thoroughly cleaned, lubed, checked for wear and adjusted as needed.
